1. What this site is

LocalAdjuster is a free informational directory that republishes licence information about Florida-licensed professionals, drawn from public government registers. It is an advertising-supported publication, published and operated by IT FOCUS, LLC, a Florida limited liability company (Florida document number L07000019649).

2. What this site is NOT — read this part

We are not a referral service, lead generator, or broker. We do not sell, transmit or supply leads, enquiries or contact details to any professional listed here. We do not receive compensation for referring any person to any professional.
We do not recommend, endorse, rate or rank anyone. Appearing in this directory means only that a licence record exists in a public register. It is not a statement about skill, honesty, quality, pricing, insurance, bonding or fitness for any purpose.
We are not a consumer reporting agency and this is not a consumer report under the Fair Credit Reporting Act or any similar law. Do not use this site for employment, tenant, credit or insurance underwriting decisions.
We do not give legal, insurance, financial, engineering or construction advice. Nothing here is professional advice. Content about claims, deadlines or process is general information only.
We are not affiliated with the State of Florida, the Department of Financial Services, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, or The Florida Bar, and nothing here is approved or endorsed by them.
We do not perform or supervise any work and we are not a party to any agreement you make with anyone you find here.

3. Licence information is a dated snapshot — verify it yourself

Licence records change continuously. A record may show a status, address or licence number that was accurate when we obtained it and is no longer current. Where a record shows a check date, that is the date we obtained the source data, not a live status.

You are solely responsible for verifying any licence directly with the issuing authority before you hire, engage, pay or sign anything. Every record links to the official register for that purpose.

4. Your responsibilities

Verify licences, insurance and references yourself before engaging anyone.
Comply with all applicable law, including insurance and contracting law, in anything you do.
Do not use this site to solicit any person in violation of law, including solicitation restrictions that apply during a declared state of emergency.
Do not scrape, harvest, bulk-download or resell the directory or the contact details in it.
Do not use the site unlawfully, or to harass, defraud or mislead anyone.

5. Accuracy, corrections and removal

We take accuracy seriously and correct errors promptly. If you believe a record is wrong, outdated, or should not be published, see Corrections & Removal. We will investigate and respond. Where a person's safety or a legal obligation requires it, we will remove a record promptly.

We do not warrant that any record is accurate, complete or current.

6. Third-party content and links

Links to official registers and other sites are provided for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.

7. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

The site and all content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that any information is accurate, complete, current or reliable.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, IT FOCUS, LLC and its owners, officers, employees, agents and suppliers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, opportunity or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of this site or your dealings with any person found through it — whether based in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability or otherwise, and even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

This includes, without limitation, any claim arising from: reliance on any listing or licence information; the acts, omissions, conduct or competence of any professional listed; any work performed or not performed by any such professional; any dispute between you and any professional; or any incorrect, incomplete or outdated information.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the site shall not exceed one hundred US dollars (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless IT FOCUS, LLC and its owners, officers, employees and agents from and against any claim, demand, loss, liability, damage, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: your use of the site; your breach of these terms; your violation of any law; or your dealings with any person found through the site.

10. Copyright and takedown

If you believe content on this site infringes your copyright, send a notice to legal@itfocus.net identifying the work, the URL, your contact details, a statement of good-faith belief, a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and that you are authorised to act, and your signature.

Licence records are public records reproduced for consumer convenience. If you are a licence holder and want your record corrected or removed, use Corrections & Removal.

11. Advertising and sponsored placement

This site displays advertising and may display clearly-labelled sponsored placements. Advertising buys visibility only. It never changes a verification state, never affects whether a record is published, and is never a recommendation. Verification states derive solely from public licence records.

All advertising is sold for a flat fee per period. We do not offer, and will not offer, pricing based on leads, enquiries, calls, clicks or conversions, and we do not share in any revenue an advertiser earns. This is a deliberate limit as well as a commercial choice: Florida law restricts how public adjusters may be compensated for referrals and prohibits compensation for referring roofing work paid from insurance proceeds. A flat fee for advertising space is not a referral fee; pricing that varies with results could be.

Every paid placement is labelled Advertisement, and paid links are marked rel="nofollow sponsored". We may report impressions and clicks to an advertiser so they know a placement is running, but those figures never determine what they are charged. Advertisers in licensed professions must supply their licence number, which is displayed with the advertisement, and must warrant that their advertising complies with the rules governing their profession.

12. Changes, governing law, general

We may change these terms; the effective date above will change and continued use means acceptance. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in force. These terms are the entire agreement regarding the site.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Exclusive venue for any dispute lies in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to that venue.
